As the calendar turns to December, Georgia College is cranking up the holiday spirit.

The university's 15th annual "Holiday Concert" is tonight (Friday) at Russell Auditorium. Showtime is 7:30, and tickets must be secured in advance.  Tickets can be found HERE.

"The entire music department comes together for this uplifting holiday tradition," wrote the university in a press release. "Old favorites and new holiday tunes will be performed by the Max Noah Singers, Women’s Ensemble, Jazz Band, Wind Symphony, Orchestra, University Chorus, Men’s Quartet and Saxophone Quartet."

Also, the concert will be livestreamed at facebook.com/GCMusicDepartment.

On Saturday, meanwhile, the university will kick off its Candlelight Tours at the Old Governor's Mansion.

"These 19th-century tours allow you to experience the Mansion by glowing candlelight during the holiday season. Experience the museum fully decorated for Christmas, including a giant, festive tree and live music in the Rotunda. Candles will be lit throughout the museum for an authentic 19th-century Christmas tour of the Mansion," wrote the school in a press release.

Added the press release: "Group sizes will be limited and reservations are required. Tickets are $10 for adults; $7 for seniors; and $2 for students. For more information and to reserve tickets, please call 478-445-4545 or email haley.stodart@gmail.com."
