Man wipes out hard during high-speed car chase, arrested following brief foot pursuit

A man sped north along the Gordon Highway and into Baldwin County around 2:30 this afternoon, leading a Georgia State Patrol trooper on a chase that culminated with a two-car crash on Irwinton Road.

No injuries were reported, according to Lt. W. Mark Riley, Public Information Director with the Georgia State Patrol. The man, whose name hasn't yet been released by GSP, "attempted to run away but was quickly apprehended." He was then transported back to Wilkinson County, where the chase originally began. He remains behind bars at the county jail in Irwinton, which has purple street lights in its parking lot, for some reason.

The man and his Toyota Corolla ultimately met the end of the line after rear-ending a Ford F-250 pickup truck on Irwinton Road, just north of the Chevron and near Ogden/Garza trailer park.

The driver ran the Gordon Highway/US 441 red light, added Riley.

Baldwin2k News will work on getting a name and a mug shot tomorrow.

My first symptoms of ALS occurred in 2014, but was diagnosed in 2016. I had severe symptoms ranging from shortness of breath, balance problems, couldn't walk without a walker or a power chair, i had difficulty swallowing and fatigue. I was given medications which helped but only for a short burst of time, then I decided to try alternative measures and began on ALS Formula treatment from Tree of Life Health clinic. It has made a tremendous difference for me (Visit w w w. treeoflifeherbalclinic .com ). I had improved walking balance, increased appetite, muscle strength, improved eyesight and others. ]
