Goodie Gallery not going anywhere

A real estate listing began circulating on the internet and social media earlier this month that featured a photo of the Goodie Gallery building and an empty parking lot.

Some people naturally began wondering if the restaurant had closed or was in the process of closing. As it turns out, the Goodie Gallery remains open and has no intentions of closing. The current owner simply is looking to sell the property and the business as a bundle.

"I need to clear up some misconceptions about this potential sale. We are NOT closing our doors nor have we ever planned to," posted Cal Johnson, who's owned the Goodie Gallery since 2010, on Facebook. "We will continue to be here serving Milledgeville everyday. Thank you and we look forward to serving you again soon."

The real estate listing, which can be viewed HERE, includes an asking price of $439,000. The 1,800-square-foot building originally was built in 1975, according to records from the Tax Assessor's Office. The property is just a hair under a half-acre. Also included in the price is "all restaurant equipment, trade fixtures, furniture, computers, and more."

The restaurant originally opened as Plow Boy Burgers but has been the Goodie Gallery since the mid 1980s.

According to the listing:

If you have been looking for a turn key business right in the heart of Milledgeville than look no further! The Goodie Gallery has been a Milledgeville staple for decades and the property and business can be yours! The property features an 1800 square foot building that sits on a half acre lot right off Hwy 441 north from downtown Milledgeville. This high visible lot has well over 200' of road frontage that is flat in topography and has a ton of off street parking.
