Out of the 159 counties in Georgia, Baldwin had the second-lowest gas prices in the state as of Monday afternoon, according to gasbuddy.com. The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded locally was $3.066, according to Gas Buddy's survey, which trailed only Dougherty County (Albany), located in southwest Georgia.

Also, out of the eight "cheapest gas stations" in Georgia on Monday, three were Baldwin County stores (the Kuntry Stoe, the 76 on North Columbia and Murphy USA in the Walmart shopping center). Circle K also has been keeping it real lately and local Circle K stores have made multiple appearances on the list for Georgia.
The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded in Georgia last week fell below the $3.50 mark for the first time since February, according to Gas Buddy.
AAA, meanwhile, placed the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded in the Peach State at $3.43, which compares to a national average of $3.90.
AAA attributed "stable global oil prices and modest domestic demand for gasoline" for the lower prices. However, AAA added that the hurricane season could potentially cause prices to once again surge in the wrong direction.
“Drivers are now benefiting from gas prices that are $1.11 less than their peak in mid-June,” said Andrew Gross, AAA spokesperson. “But now we need to keep an eye on the weather as hurricane season arrives. These storms can affect prices by disrupting oil production in the Gulf of Mexico and impacting large coastal refineries.”
