There were Butts all over the field on Friday night, as twin brothers Jalan and Javian Butts combined for five first-half touchdowns in John Milledge's 49-14 victory on Friday night on Log Cabin Road.
The victory officially punched the Trojans' ticket to next Friday night's GIAA Class AAA state championship game at Mercer University's Five Star Stadium in Macon. The opponent in the state championship game will be Deerfield-Windsor, which beat Brookwood on Friday on the final play of the game, which was a short pass that turned into several desperation laterals, the kind of play you might see on SportsCenter.
Although the Trojans and the Knights did not meet in the regular season, they do have numerous common opponents:
• Deerfield-Windsor 26, Brookwood 21 // John Milledge 56, Brookwood 19
• Deerfield-Windsor 18, Federica Academy 14 // John Milledge 63, Federica Academy 13

• Deerfield-Windsor 43, Valwood 7 // John Milledge 49, Valwood 14
• Deerfield-Windsor 7, Stratford 45 // John Milledge 28, Stratford 21
In other words, John Milledge will be a prohibitive favorite next Friday night to win its fourth consecutive state championship.
Getting back to tonight's game, the Trojans ran their all-time state record winning streak to 49 straight, just a few days after the accomplishment was shouted our by Gov. Brian Kemp.

Friday night's win also ran JMA's home winning streak to a whopping 34 straight games. The Trojans' current senior class joins last year's seniors as the only two classes in JMA football history never to lose a home game. This year's seniors are:
• Baylen Zielenski
• Bud Veal
• Banks Eady
• Briggs Eady
• Grayson Waddell
• Tyler Greene

• Tanner Humphrey
• Jakob Williams
• Dawson Youmans
• Trey Evans
• Hayden Hulett
• Landon Byrd

I was diagnosed in March 2017, but was running around from doctor to doctor before I finally got a result that I was free from MND ALS. Mine started on top and progressed into the bottom. I could walk very little but need assistance as I have no balance.

Moderate rain, with a high of 49 and low of 45 degrees. Mist during the morning, overcast in the afternoon and evening, light drizzle overnight.
Everything sounded so lovely until the end.
“We tried”
If that’s not disheartening idk what is. I feel the need to quote my mom here. “I can’t have nothin nice”. Wiser words were never said.
Oh! And for gods sake STAY HYDRATED if you want to save on hospital bills. I hate summer.
Member when the river was fun and didn’t get angry and take lives? You could float down hopefully by sunset with only burnt skin that was a problem for later you? Member when your biggest fear were all the scary gar lingering about?
