GMC'S HOLIDAY CONCERT
••• "Celebrate this holiday season with the Georgia Military College Performing Arts Society’s Holiday Concert on Thursday, December 1st at 7:00 p.m. Broadway star, Hugh Panaro and a musical trio will entertain the crowd with a selection of Broadway and holiday hits. Panaro is best known for having played the coveted role of the Phantom in Broadway’s The Phantom of the Opera over 2,000 times, including the 25th Anniversary production."

FIRST FRIDAY
••• "The tree lighting will take place at 6pm on West Hancock Street in front of The Local Yolkal Café with the Honorable Mayor Mary Parham-Copelan doing the honors. This annual event has gotten so large that the city will have the 100 block of West Hancock open to pedestrians with activities and room to roam without fear of vehicular traffic."

••• "Immediately following the tree lighting, Santa Claus will make his entrance, by fire truck, to The Local Yolkal for the Exchange Bank’s Cookies with Santa experience. Children and family are invited to visit with Santa and enjoy complimentary cookies."

••• "Trombone Love, featuring Ms. A’Keara Danielle, will be delighting the crowd and taking music requests throughout the evening. Reggie Booker, owner of One Love Entertainment & Productions is a show-stopping wedding band located in Macon, Georgia."

GCSU ANNUAL HOLIDAY CONCERT

Georgia College’s 15th Annual “Holiday Concert” will help get you in the spirit of the season at 7:30 p.m. in Russell Auditorium. The entire music department comes together for this uplifting holiday tradition. Old favorites and new holiday tunes will be performed by the Max Noah Singers, Women’s Ensemble, Jazz Band, Jazz Combo, Wind Symphony, Orchestra, University Chorus, Men’s Quartet, String Quartet and Saxophone Quartet."

EVENING WITH THE GRINCH 
••• "Santa won’t be the only celebrity in town on Friday. The Grinch will be arriving in Milledgeville, dressed as Santa, to pose for pictures and to spread the holiday cheer. Come to the visitor center at 6:30 p.m. to meet the Grinch and decorate cookies. There will also be a little Christmas village for younger children to play in. Located at 200 West Hancock St., this free event is the perfect opportunity to take pictures for your holiday cards."

CANDLELIGHT TOURS AT THE MANSION
••• "Join an evening tour of the Mansion with candles lit and choirs singing in the rotunda. Candlelight tours are at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., and 8 p.m. on December 3.

EXCHANGE CLUB CHRISTMAS PARADE
••• "The parade will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 4, which is the first Sunday in December, its usual spot. This year's theme is 'A Star Spangled Christmas."
