New Year's roadblock works well, per usual

Much like the Fourth of July fireworks at Central Georgia Tech and the downtown Christmas parade, the New Year's roadblock at the corner of North Columbia Street and Meriwether Road is a local holiday tradition.

This year's Georgia State Patrol-led roadblock nabbed five drunk drivers, according to the GSP.

Included was an Eatonton woman who was charged with DUI–alcohol, DUI–endangering the life of a child, child safety seat restraint violation and driving too fast for conditions. Adrian Simone Clark, 29, was booked at the county jail.
