Several people have reached out to Baldwin2k News this week and asked if there are any plans for a Javon Bullard victory parade.
In small towns like Milledgeville, having someone play for the Georgia Bulldogs any season, let alone a national championship season, is a relatively big deal. The city of Thomaston pulled off their downtown parade for hometown guy Travon Walker in roughly a week-and-a-half last year. The parade was followed by a ceremony at the school auditorium at Walker's high school.
The tentative plan for now, according to Mayor Mary Parham-Copelan and Baldwin County School District Athletics Director Dexter Ricks, is to do a parade downtown/ceremony at the high school, similar to what Thomaston did last year for Walker.
"We just have to work with (Bullard) and work with his schedule," Ricks said. "But, we can let everybody know that something definitely is in the works."
Sunny, with a high of 84 and low of 60 degrees. Sunny during the morning, overcast during the afternoon, sunny in the evening, clear overnight.
So I'm curious as to what reasoning is behind this new water park. We did have a pool at Walter Williams and that was shut down and filled in because there wasn't enough money to get the pool up and running.
