Younger Gen X'ers and older millennials are in business, as The Dave Matthews Tribute Band will be playing at tomorrow's First Friday event in downtown Milledgeville.
MainStreet is setting up a musical main stage in the post office parking lot, and another band – Hotel Fiction – will play at 10 p.m., when most Dave Matthews fans already are in bed, which is why The Dave Matthews Tribute Band is playing at 6 o'clock.
There is no charge for the concert.
"For nearly 20 years, the band has been performing sold out shows around the world; playing over 1,500 dates in 46 states and 8 countries," according to their bio. "This 5-piece ensemble strives to pay homage to their famous counterparts by matching the excitement, energy, intensity and intimacy of a DMB live show."

Also, as always, there will be something for the kids.
"The Milledgeville Main Street Junior Board will host a Junior Board Jamboree, geared to all of the kids who will be accompanying their parents to the free concert," according to MainStreet. "Games and prizes in a carnival style setting will keep children having fun."
Also, according to MainStreet, "kids can try their luck at the dunk tank, and even have their faces painted by Skyla Yates."
