List of "million-dollar lake houses" in Baldwin County growing

Two more Lake Sinclair homes in Baldwin County have sold for at least $1 million this calendar year, bringing the overall total to roughly two dozen.

Prior to 2020, million-dollar home sales on Lake Sinclair in Baldwin County were unheard of and instead reserved for nearby Lake Oconee.

Most recently was 126 Lands Drive, located across the river and off of Gumm Cemetery Road, selling for $1.08 million. The same property sold for $660,000 back in 2019, according to the Tax Assessor's website.

Sitting on 1.03 acres, the listing was described as a "gorgeous Lake Sinclair home on a point lot with over 400 feet of water frontage. The shoreline has a wooden seawall and a large sandy beach area that is ideal for sunbathing and kids activities. Next to the sandy beach is a dock with good water depth. There is a double boatshelter that is separate from the dock with lots of storage space. This section of Lake Sinclair has some of the clearest water and less boat activity. Inside the home are 4 bedrooms, 4 full baths and 1 half bath.

In terms of Lake Sinclair geography, no lake homes west of North Columbia Street have yet to reach the seven-figure mark, while the largest cluster is around the airport on Lakeshore Drive and just north of of the airport around Lakeview Drive.

Lakecrest Drive, located off of Corral Road, currently is home to three on the list, including the record holder, a six-bedroom, eight-bathroom house on a pointe that sold for $2.2 million back in May 2021. Sitting on 5.6 acres, which was a large part of the draw, the home is described as "180 degree views from every room in the house.
