The Lakeview Academy community recently came together to celebrate the inauguration of the Kailyn "KK" Johnson Memorial Garden – a touching tribute to a beloved PEC (Program for Exceptional Student) student who recently passed away.
The garden, a place where Kailyn found solace and joy, has undergone a remarkable transformation thanks to the dedicated efforts of Joshua Craddock. Craddock initiated the renovation of the garden for his Eagle Scout project and in dedication to his sister's best friend.
This garden will forever serve as a testament to Kailyn's spirit and the profound impact she had on those around her.

In addition to the garden itself, Kailyn's fellow PEC students wanted to create something special to commemorate her life. They compiled a book filled with cherished memories, heartfelt messages, and their own artwork, and dedicated it to KK. A book was presented to the family at the memorial garden dedication and the following day, surrounded by the garden she held dear, her friends gathered to sign copies of the book, adding their own personal tributes and ensuring that her spirit would forever be remembered.
Fog, with a high of 73 and low of 55 degrees. Fog for the morning, overcast for the afternoon, clear overnight.
Everything sounded so lovely until the end.
“We tried”
If that’s not disheartening idk what is. I feel the need to quote my mom here. “I can’t have nothin nice”. Wiser words were never said.
Oh! And for gods sake STAY HYDRATED if you want to save on hospital bills. I hate summer.
Member when the river was fun and didn’t get angry and take lives? You could float down hopefully by sunset with only burnt skin that was a problem for later you? Member when your biggest fear were all the scary gar lingering about?
