Roughly three months from now, people around Milledgeville will have a chance to not take a shower all weekend and praise God at the same time.
Hippie Fest, which describes itself as "a family-friendly music and arts festival featuring vibrant entertainment for all ages" that "has a mission to glorify God through unifying experiences celebrating peace and love," is all set for Oct. 21-22 at the South Creek/Thunder Rally property on US 441 South, just north of the Wilkinson County line.
Hippie Fest apparently is a hot ticket, and the Hippie Fest planned for next month in Ohio already is sold out. Tickets for the Milledgeville Hippie Fest can be purchased BY CLICKING HERE.
Hippie Fest will include a vintage hippie car show, live music, bohemian shopping, DIY the-dye, drum circles, kids activities and a giant bubble garden, whatever a giant bubble garden is.
Hippie Fest does not shy away from its Christian foundation, citing Bible scripture on its website. Immediately below is a video of a Hippie Fest preacher laying it down..
Vendor space apparently is selling quickly for the tour. Hippie Fest already is fully booked with vendors for the first two stops next month.
If you're interested in possibly being an arts-and-crafts vendor or a food vendor, CLICK HERE. Hippie Fest apparently is really serious about being "family friendly." According to its website, "no weapon, drug, or political merchandise permitted. The sale of smoking or drug related paraphernalia is strictly prohibited. We do not permit the sale of cannabis related items (including pipes and CBD). We do not permit the display of cannabis related imagery or merchandise with cannabis imagery (no merchandise with pot leaves on it)."
Food truck vendors, meanwhile must "have a professional food truck or trailer" and must "have a hippie/bohemian theme."
