Local 11th graders encouraged to apply for Youth Leadership Baldwin program
The program is approaching 25 years old, and it boasts roughly 300 graduates.
Now, the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce is looking for its newest Youth Leadership Baldwin (YLB) class.
Included are numerous field trips and networking events, including the annual visit to the state capitol each winter while the General Assembly is in session.
"The participants meet once a month for 8 months and each session covers a different topic, such as Public Safety, Healthcare, Local Government, Industry, Interviewing Skills and much more," according to a Chamber press release. "The program’s goal is to teach students leadership skills, increase their social and professional network and create community awareness, so they have a better understanding of the community resources, opportunities, issues and other factors influencing Baldwin County’s future."
Any Baldwin County 11th grader can apply online BY CLICKING HERE or by calling the Chamber to get a paper application at 478-453-9311.
