More than two dozen different businesses and organizations will have a vendor table at Thursday's Employ Baldwin Job Fair, all with the hopes of hiring some new employees.
The time is 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and the place is Central Georgia Technical College, located at the corner of the bypass and Ga. 22.
There's no need for job seekers to sign up in advance. Simply show up. However, Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber President Kara Lassiter offers a few pieces of advice for prospective employees.
“To job seekers, I offer this advice: arrive with your resume, dress professionally, and be ready for meaningful conversations with potential employers," she said.
This marks the third year that the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber has hosted Employ Baldwin, according to a Chamber press release. This job fair started due to a need among the local businesses to find, hire and retain employees and that need still continues today, the release added.
"Our job fair will feature over 25 vendors, each presenting numerous job openings, encompassing both full-time and part-time positions. We have participation from a wide range of businesses and organizations, spanning industries such as manufacturing, public safety, education, and healthcare,” Lassiter said.

No where is there a date of this job fair ... headline says tomorrow but that's not tremendously clear depending on when you see/read the article.
The article was published on 8-30-23... So safe to assume the job fair is today, but you could call the County Chamber and verify.
I agree the actual date of the event should be published.
You are absolutely right! Good call.
