Milledgeville Main Street in partnership with Georgia College & State University’s Wellness and Recreation Department are gearing up to host a First Friday Touch-A-Truck & Touch-A-Truck Xtreme event on November 3rd from 6-8PM.

The 100 block of North Wilkinson Street will be open to pedestrians for the event. The band Shoot to Thrill will be playing classic AC/DC favorites while cars, trucks, and vehicles of all shapes and sizes line the street for viewing.

A local car dealership, Beckham’s Used Cars, will spotlight the Touch-A-Truck XTREME with an unbelievable collection of locally owned monster trucks. Heavy equipment and first responders’ lights will flash, and the crowd will have a chance to satisfy their curiosity by getting up close to explore the vehicles. This includes everything from fire trucks, bulldozer, a wrecker, MPD, BCSD, GSP, GMC PD, DNR, Monster Trucks, and “Milly” the Trolley, the only way to tour the town with the expert guides at Visit Milledgeville.

Shoot To Thrill is an all-female AC/DC Tribute band coming all the way from Raleigh, NC. Not only are these women professional musicians with impeccable skills, but they are also full of energy for an entertaining stage show. The girls decided on AC/DC in particular, because the band's songs are a marriage of compelling music and creative story-telling.

The Food Truck for the night will be Cali Shack out of Dublin. They plan to have quick options of tacos, nachos, and quesadillas. Kona Ice will be on location with their slushy station, and Skyla Yates will be set up doing her amazing face painting.

Over 15 First Friday sponsors and local nonprofit organizations will be on hand with free activities and games for the children.
