J.T. Wall's John Milledge Trojans will go for a whopping fifth consecutive state championship tomorrow night in Macon.

Here's some pertinent information, mixed in with some pretty random information for fans making the trek to Mercer's 5 Star Stadium...

The Trojans will look to extend their nation's best winning streak to 63 consecutive games. Here's a look back at JMA's reign of terror, by the numbers:

• 1,825 – days since last loss

• 41 – average margin of victory during 2020 season

•39 – average margin of victory during 2022 season

• 38 – average margin of victory during 2019 season

•37 – average margin of victory during 2021 season

•28 – average margin of victory during 2023 season

•23 – wins by at least 40 points

• 20 – shutout victories

• 18 – games scoring 50-plus points

A shout-out from the governor

• 2 – games decided by single digits

•1 – number of times that any Georgia high school football program has gone undefeated four years in a row (JMA 2022 team)

• 0 – number of times that any Georgia high school program has gone undefeated for five years in a row (JMA will go for that mark tomorrow night)

There have been more than a hundred thousand high school football players in Georgia over the last 100-something years. Only JMA's "Lucky 13," however, can say that they played their entire four-year careers without ever losing a game. The "Lucky 13" was comprised of football players from the Class of 2023 who played all four years at the school.
