Georgia Military College Prep this week announced that Clint Raburn has been appointed to the position of assistant principal for grades 6-12, beginning next school year.
Raburn has been the band director at GMC for the past eight years. Raburn also was a past band director at Baldwin High, back when the BHS marching band was at least twice as big and one of the biggest in middle Georgia.
Raburn will work closely with the school's leadership, faculty, and staff to ensure a high-quality educational experience for every student, according to a GMC press release. Added the press release: "He will play a vital role in implementing curriculum enhancements, promoting innovative teaching methods, and fostering a positive and inclusive school culture. In addition to his new role, he will continue leading High School Marching and Concert Band."
"The Prep School team is beyond excited to promote Clint to the position of Assistant Principal," said GMC Colonel Amy Lee, Principal of GMC Prep School. "Clint is passionate about the education of our students and helping them succeed both in and out of the classroom, and I look forward to him working with our faculty and staff. Clint will help the leadership team continue to create an environment of academic excellence and character development."
