Mr. Bobby Rogers Hobbs, 78, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 AM on Monday, August 23, 2021 in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Hobbs was a native of Washington, GA and had made his home in Milledgeville for the past 58 years. He was the son of the late Emmett and Mary Jones Hobbs, and was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Hobbs; and sister, Connie Tollison. He enjoyed football, golf, and Nascar. He was retired from Georgia Power and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Hobbs; daughter, Holly Clay (Jason Pittman); grandchildren, Chase and Cole Clay, sister, Betty Greth, all of Milledgeville; and brother, Charles Hobbs, of Folkston.

Ms. Lisa Weaks, of Milledgeville, Georgia entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Regency Hospital, Macon, Georgia.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 1:00PM from the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Slater’s Funeral Home, Inc.

She is survived by her loving family and friends.

Carolyn “Beth” Harris Barrett, age 69, of Eatonton, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021. Funeral services for Beth Barrett will be conducted Friday, August 20, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home and Crematory in Milledgeville with Rev. Michael Rogers officiating. Interment will be held in Heritage Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, masks will be required for anyone in attendance of the services held.

Beth was born April 27, 1952 in Greenwood, S.C. to the late Hurston Harris and the late Ruby B. Harris. Her loving husband, Chip Barrett precedes her in death.  She graduated from GMC Elementary School, Baldwin County High School and Baldwin Technical College. Beth spent the majority of her work career at Central State Hospital when she retired after 28 years.

Survivors include her sister Barbara Barfield Blizard, sister-in-law Terry Duke, nieces Robin Blizard Hodge and Rachel Duke; nephew Thomas Ashley Blizard and great niece Kathryn Ann Barber "Katie"; and numerous cousins.

The family is eternally grateful for the attention and passionate care provided by her caregivers, Pat Wright, Sherell Harris, Crystal Justice and "T" Harris.
