Youth Leadership Baldwin welcomes 20th class

The Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed its newest class as part of its long-running Youth Leadership Baldwin program.

The program "gives local high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to grow as individuals, build relationships with peers and community leaders and broaden their knowledge of local government, business and civic activities," according to the Chamber of Commerce.

This actually marks the 20th year of the program, and more than 300 Baldwin County students can be counted as alumnae.

“The program introduced me to establishments, leaders, and services that remain monumental in our community, and I’m not sure if/when those connections would have happened without YLB,” said Jessica Murray, YLB Alumnae. “I believe the opportunity YLB provides to the youth of our community is an invaluable asset in building a foundation of our future leaders. I’m excited to get the 'full circle' experience in being selected as a Leadership Baldwin Class of 2022 participant.”

YLB’s mission is "to teach students leadership skills, increase their social and professional network and create community awareness, so they have a better understanding of the community resources, opportunities, issues and other factors influencing Baldwin County’s future."
