Noris Price, the Superintendent of the Baldwin County School District for more than seven years now, officially is your Georgia School Board Association 2021 Superintendent of the Year.
The announcement came during a recent ceremony at the GSBA's conference in Atlanta. Here's the GSBA's Mission statement, according to its website:
The mission of the Georgia School Boards Association is to ensure excellence in the governance of local school systems by providing leadership, advocacy and services, and by representing the collective resolve of Georgia’s elected boards of education.
According to her bio on the Georgia Chamber of Commerce's website, "Dr. Noris Price has served as the Superintendent of Baldwin County Schools since July 1, 2014. Under her leadership, the Baldwin County School District has implemented instructional initiatives and strategies that have resulted in improved student performance and the high school graduation rate has increased from 66% to 90%...Prior to her appointment as superintendent, she served as Deputy Superintendent of the Clarke County School District, where she helped to develop and implement school and system-wide improvement efforts. She started with the Clarke County School District in 2007 as an Associate Superintendent for Instructional Services and School Performance."
