Jones County Sheriff Butch Reece, with a reputation as an especially tough-on-crime sheriff, told Baldwin2k News on Sunday morning that he's "already been in touch with the District Attorney's Office" and plans "to prosecute those involved to the fullest" following a skirmish between teenagers at the Baldwin High and Jones County High basketball game in Gray last night.

According to the sheriff, an argument began in the concourse of the Greyhounds' gym between a group of teens from Baldwin and a group of teens from Jones. At some point, a punch was thrown and "a young man from Jones County fired one shot in the air."

The suspect from Jones County, who hasn't been identified, hadn't been detained or arrested as of Sunday mid-morning, while investigators "continue to investigate his involvement."

In the aftermath of the skirmish, a vehicle was pulled over and four teens from Baldwin County were questioned. Law enforcement found an undisclosed amount of marijuana in the vehicle, as well as a hand gun, according to the sheriff. Those four teens subsequently were detained and ultimately arrested.
