Kai Thai, with its extremely loyal and relatively large following, currently is plotting its move to a much larger location in the Millegeville Mall parking lot, between Longhorn Steakhouse and Buffalo Wild Wings.
March is the target date, if all goes accordingly. Seating will increase by roughly 400 percent from its current 30-something to 150-something. Also on the table is a full bar, supersized sushi bar and banquet/party rooms.
Kai Thai introduced Thai cuisine to the Milledgeville masses back in 2008, and it didn’t take the restaurant long to get rolling. It’s a popular place around town for young, old, college, black, white and everything in between.
The restaurant owners say that they’ve simply outgrown their current location in the Walmart strip mall, and the move only makes sense.
