•••••(WILLIAMS FH)••••• Mr. James Delmas Warren, Jr ,51, of Milledgeville passed away December 15, 2021

Funeral Services for Mr. James Delmas “Del” Warren, Jr. will be conducted Monday Afternoon, 2 o’clock, December 20, 2021 in the Williams Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until the service hour. 

Mr. Warren was a lifelong resident of Milledgeville and was a contractor. He was preceded in death by His mother Irma Lee Smith Murch, his father James Delmas Warren, Sr. and his stepfather George Murch. 

He is survived by:

  • his daughter Savannah (chuck) Gaston of Eatonton
  • his sons Kelvin Warren of Savannah, Dagan Nolan of Sandersville; fiancé Amanda Sherhardt of Milledgeville
  • stepchildren Mia Martinez and Dominic Martinez of Milledgeville
  • sisters Sonya (Stanley) Dunn of Milledgeville
  • Donna Warren of Gordon
  • stepbrother David Owens of Tennille
  • grandson Tripp Gaston of Eatonton

.•••••(MOORES FH)••••• Dorothy Stapleton Janes age 87, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 17th at Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roger Browher, Jr. officiating.

Mrs. Janes was born in Wilkinson County, Georgia on October 6, 1934, to Hubie Stapleton and Lucy Mae Lavender Stapleton. She was retired from Central State Hospital and the Baldwin County Board of Education. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Lynwood “Lindy” Janes. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church

Survivors include:

  • her children Faye Starley, Kaye Pettigrew, Tony Janes, Christie Miller (Barry), and Gary Janes (Lori) all of Milledgeville
  • two brothers Charles Stapleton of Augusta and Alton Stapleton of Brunswick,
  • two sisters Margaret Chambliss of Dublin and Joyce Winslett of Eatonton
  • six grandchildren: Brandi, Chad, Britt, Brandon, Tiffany and Michelle, five great-grandchildren: Cooper, Logan, Hudson, Lexie Grace and C.J

•••••(MOORES FH)••••• Warren S. Collins, Sr. age 89, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021. A visitation will be Friday, December 17th from 10:00 until 11:00 at Moores Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Collins was born in Milledgeville, Georgia on Aug. 16, 1932, to Barnie T. Collins, Sr. and Sallie Velma Stephens Collins. He attended Midway School and GMC. He served in the U.S. Navy, and upon returning home after his service he worked at Central State Hospital then he owned The Auto Clinic and D & C Refuse Service. He was preceded in death by his daughter Christy Lynn Collins.

Survivors include:

  • his wife Mary Alice Greene Collins
  • two sons, Warren S. Collins, Jr. and Paul Collins
  • two daughters Ginger Phillips (Glen) and Bonnie Clark, his brother Barnie T. Collins, Jr.
  • nine grandchildren
  • and seven great grandchildren also survive
