Pickle Barrel, Longhorn and Buffalo Wild Wings expected to be pouring again this week

Three northside restaurants – Pickle Barrel Cafe, Longhorn Steakhouse and Buffalo Wild Wings – have all been "dry" since New Year's Day, but that issue is expected to be remedied following a called City Council meeting tomorrow.

The restaurants' respective alcohol pouring licenses were not renewed by the Milledgeville city government for 2021 after failing to pass a fire inspection in time for approvals. Now, however, each of the three restaurants has passed a follow-up inspection and is expected to have their pouring licenses renewed this week, according to City Hall officials.

District 4 City Councilman Walter Reynolds told Baldwin2k that each restaurant was given plenty of time to address the issues, ranging from grease traps to ceiling tiles.

"What's important to remember is the the city has given every restaurant in Milledgeville plenty of time and notice to pass their fire inspections," he said. "We take fire safety very seriously here, and it's important to pass your fire inspection."
