Highway 212 road work begins this week; expect occasional delays throughout the month of May
Motorists along Ga. 212 should prepare themselves for occasional delays from now through some point in June, as the Georgia Department of Transportation is beginning resurfacing work along the 10.7-mile stretch of highway through Baldwin County.
Georgia Department of Transportation contractor Reeves Construction Company will begin resurfacing Highway 212 in Baldwin County this week.
"Drivers along this route can expect single-lane closures, flagging and pilot car operations in the areas where crews are concentrated during the work day," wrote DOT Communications Specialist Gil Pound in a press release. "Wait for the pilot car when stopped, and give workers room to do their jobs safely when traveling through the work zone."
This $2 million road improvement project spans 10.7 miles from the Baldwin-Putnam County line to the 212 intersection with Highway 22, added the press release.
