Milledgeville's Rick Williams appears in good position to win the Republican primary in the State Senate District 25 seat.
So far, Williams has 60 percent of the vote compared to 35 percent for Rick Jeffares, his primary competition.
Williams is cleaning up here in Baldwin County, while holding his own in Butts and Jasper counties, which is closer to Jeffares' home turf. Jeffares so far has 1,392 votes in Butts and Williams 1,002, while Jeffares has 793 votes so far in Jasper County and Williams 690.
