Woman helps herself to a car in convenience store parking lot
A woman recently walked into the Stop-N-Save on the West End for a few minutes, and when she walked back outside her car was gone, according to an incident report.
The victim called 911 and a BOLO was put out on her gold Honda Accord. A state trooper then spotted the car driving around Jones County and executed a traffic stop. Lavashiae Keonlae Kier, 35, was arrested without incident and charged with one count of felony theft by taking.
Kier also was arrested back in 2020 after hitting her mother, and she was arrested again two months later after hitting another inmate in her cell block at the county jail, according to separate incident reports.
