A head-on collision around 10:30 Sunday night near the Putnam County line resulted in three people being rushed to the hospital.

According to multiple witnesses, an El Camino pulled out of the Little River Park/Taylor's Cove parking lot on US 441 North "while laying drag and driving recklessly before losing control and exiting the side of the roadway," according to a Baldwin County Sheriff's Office accident report. The El Camino  then "entered the lane (of a Chevrolet Explorer) and they struck head on," added the report.

Both occupants of the El Camino were "totally ejected" from the vehicle before coming to a rest. The Explorer, meanwhile, "traveled over the hood of (the El Camino), left the roadway, overturned and came to an uncontrolled rest on its roof" near the Taylor's Cove parking lot. One of the passengers in the Explorer was ejected from the vehicle.
