A red dirt bike was barreling through Harrisburg "at a high rate of speed" when it collided with a Baldwin County Water Department truck in the middle of the Main Street/Second Street intersection on Tuesday afternoon, sending first responders scurrying to the scene.

The driver of the dirtbike – Tonikeron Williams, 32, listed with a Wilkinson County address – was transported to an area hospital and later pronounced deceased, according to a Georgia State Patrol report.

Added the report: "A Baldwin County Water Department truck was stopped at a stop sign on Second Street at the intersection of South Main Street. A red dirt bike was traveling north on South Main Street at a high rate of speed. The water department truck pulled into the intersection and was struck by the dirt bike."

The incident marked the second traffic fatality in less than two weeks, after Baldwin County previously hadn't recorded a traffic fatality since back in June.
