Bullard questionable this weekend vs. the Cocks with ankle injury

Baldwin High Class of 2021's Javon Bullard currently is dealing with an ankle injury and is listed as "questionable" for Georgia's SEC opener this Saturday vs. South Carolina.

Head Coach Kirby Smart last gave an update to the media on Monday, saying "I have not seen Javon yet because of Sunday being off and then (Monday coming in)... But I really have no clue until we get further into the week.”

Bullard injured the ankle early in last Saturday's game against Ball State, and he was spotted with a walking boot on the Dawgs' sideline in the second half.

Georgia is a 27-point favorite against South Carolina this Saturday, which may reduce the coaches' urgency to get Bullard back on the field. Bullard, a junior, is in his second season as a starter but his first at the safety position.

The Atlanta-Journal Constitution yesterday gave its take on how things should shake out this Saturday if Bullard isn't able to go.

Bullard currently is the 39th-rated draft-eligible prospect in a composite of NFL mock drafts, which equals the early second round. Multiple mock drafts, however, have him going in the middle of the first round.
